The Forestry Department oversees the management of Ugpi’ganjig First Nation wood allocations and provides support services for the woodlot management of 10,000 cubic metres of softwood and 2,800 cubic metres of hardwood. In the spirit of responsible stewardship, our department follows strict adherence to all environmental standards, particularly in proximity to water sources.
Department leadership also meet regularly with the forestry management council to discuss larger issues affecting forestry management.
