Dear Ugpi’ganjig community members;
A few updates for today and wanted to emphasize the need for continued self-isolation during this COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to urge people to stay home, maintain physical distance and wash your hands frequently. If you are experiencing symptoms the best thing to do is call the 8-1-1 tele-care number. If you have any questions regarding COVID-19 the public health agency has a toll-free number 1-833-784-4397. Our health centre nurse is available for essential services by appointment and can be reached via phone or text should you have any health related questions or concerns. Mary Lou can be reached at 506-686-0667.

For all off-reserve community members within 25km radius and anyone we may have missed; grocery cards will be available for pick up at Osprey truck stop parking lot from 9:00 am to 11:00 am tomorrow April 2nd, 2020. Please remain in your vehicle and we will have a designated drive thru area for pick up.
SOCIAL ASSISTANCE
For all social recipients, there will be a COVID-19 support supplement added to your next social cheque on April 15th, 2020 and thereafter while we receive funding for COVID-19 support. At this time social assistance will not be accepting or processing special needs. If your request is for NB Power payment, we have a direct link with the First Nations rep and will arrange for payment. If your request is an urgent matter which cannot wait please contact Susan LaBillois via text or phone at 685-0770. Please DO NOT go to Sue’s house.
LOBSTER FISHERY
There are scheduled conference calls tomorrow on this topic. Updates will be provided as they are received.
As COVID-19 evolves, we can expect that additional measures may be required, we will implement any additional measures for your health and safety, and we will support you in this challenging time. We will continue to keep our health and safety of the highest priority.
Thanks again,
Chief Sacha
