Ugpi’ganjig Youth Hockey is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Fall 2025 First Shift Program, proudly affiliated with the Montreal Canadiens, Hockey Canada, and the NHL/NHLPA’s Bauer First Shift initiative!

This amazing program is designed for children ages 6–10 who have not previously enrolled in minor hockey — the perfect way to discover the game in a fun, safe, and supportive environment!

Cost: $299

Includes:

• A full head-to-toe set of Bauer equipment (including skates and stick)

• Six on-ice sessions led by our Ugpi’ganjig Youth Hockey Association

Welcome Event:

Thursday, November 27th at 6:00 PM

Participants will be properly fitted by Bauer Hockey staff. On-ice session details will follow soon!

Volunteers Needed!

We’re looking for parents and community members to join our First Shift team! Help us build confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of hockey for our youth.

Partnered With RNMHA:

First Shift participants can continue playing after their first six sessions through the Restigouche North Minor Hockey Association for a fee of $150, which includes seven additional ice times held on the same day and time as the original sessions.
