Off-Reserve Homelessness Prevention Funding Now Available

Eel River Bar First Nation is pleased to announce that Off-Reserve Homelessness Prevention Funding is now available to eligible Members.

This is a one-time funding opportunity intended to support Off-Reserve Members who are experiencing financial hardship and are at risk of homelessness.

Eligible supports may include:

• Rent (current or arrears)
• Mortgage payments or arrears
• Utilities
• Essential clothing
• Food
• Fuel cards

Funding approvals are based on demonstrated need and required documentation, including lease or mortgage documents, proof of income, bank statements, and other relevant materials.

A Policy has been developed, along with an application form. Please ensure you carefully review both the policy and the application. You can find both documents linked here. 🗓 Application intake opens immediately.

Intake will close on March 23, 2026, or when funds have been fully expended, whichever comes first.

This funding stream ends March 31, 2026.
