Please be advised that the 2026 Salmon Fishing season will begin June 1st. The reason for this chosen date is to allow the opportunity for the bigger salmon to go up the river to spawn. This is a conservation-based decision. As of June 1st, 2026, the Eel River Bar Band Council request that all salmon nets have the owners band number and initials on the buoys.

Any nets that are neglected during the season will be picked up and will not be returned to you.

Neglected nets are defined as nets that are not being fished regularly. Also, nets with no band number or initials on them will be deemed neglected and confiscated as a result.
