FSC Lobster Fishery Reminder

Eel River Bar First Nation would like to remind all members participating in the FSC Lobster Fishery that all lobster traps can be set beginning September 14, 2026. Traps must not be set before September 14.

The FSC Lobster Fishery runs from September 14 to October 19, 2026 and is for Food, Social and Ceremonial purposes only.
⚖️ Weigh your lobster for a chance to win!

Fisheries is offering an incentive for participants who bring their lobster in to be weighed. Every participant who weighs their lobster will have a chance to win a $100 gift card. Details on the draw will be provided by Fisheries.

Please remember:
• All traps must have a valid 2026 tag issued by the Band Office.
• Minimum carapace size is 81 mm.
• Egg-bearing female lobster must be returned immediately.
• All traps must have escape and biodegradable panels.

Off reserve tags can be picked up tomorrow, Friday, September 11 at the Band Office between 9:30 and 10AM.
