Chief and Council Update Re: School Lunch Program

At the outset of this school year ERB Education Department updated chief and council about fundamental changes to the school lunch program.

Due to multiple budget cuts ERB Education Department chose to reduce the number of days that free lunch would be provided from 5 days to 2 days a week.

Chief and Council reviewed these cuts, and on Monday September 15 at a Duly Convened Meeting Chief and Council signed a BCR committing to paying those 3 days not being covered by ERB Education.

Starting on Wednesday September 17 all ERB students on the nominal list attending the LER, Academie Notre Dame, or DRHS will provided with 5 full days of lunches until the end of the calendar year.

In the meantime, Chief and Council will explore the efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness of the hot lunch program for the winter semester.
