As we navigate the pandemic we are again faced with a potential for exposure and spread within our area of zone 5.
At this time we have no confirmed cases within the community of Ugpi’ganjig; however, we should remain vigilant in our efforts to keep the community safe and prepared.

We have created a confidential email for community members to contact the Health Centre if they have been contacted by Public Health, this allows our Health Centre to assist community members that may be self-isolating or under quarantine.

Ugpi’ganjig transitions to Orange Level Community Recovery Plan:
With the announcement from the Government of New Brunswick to transition all zones to orange, this meets our trigger in our Community Recovery Phase to transition us to a community orange level.
Read below the guidelines outlined in the orange phase
Projects and activities that can ensure COVID-19 mandatory order guideline compliance (Open but with maximum of 10 people or less): All band projects and activities will continue in the Fox phase however employees must adhere to Eel River Bar’s health and safety guidelines as outlined in the COVID-19 Operational Guide.
Essential Services (Open with accommodations when possible and zero tolerance for non-compliance): Entrances for all Band Buildings will remain closed to the public. Visitors will not be permitted access during the Fox Phase and operations will be reduced to 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday). For employees with health considerations (immune-compromised) or who are emotionally compromised; the employee and supervisor can discuss alternate accommodations, if possible.
Health Services (Open with accommodations when possible and zero tolerance for non-compliance): The Ugpi’ganjig Health Centre will remain closed to the public; however, clients will able to schedule appointments with the Community Health Nurse. Home and Community Care services will continue operations. Staff who are required to work will perform their duties remotely. Mental Health and Addiction services are available upon request and will be conducted remotely. Days of Operations to be determined.
Daycare (Open with accommodations when possible and zero tolerance for non-compliance): Entrances for all Band Buildings will remain closed to the public. For employees with health considerations (immune-compromised) or who are emotionally compromised; the employee and supervisor can discuss alternate accommodations, if possible. Head Start, Pre-School and Leadership (Open with accommodations when possible and zero tolerance for non-compliance): Entrances for all Band Buildings will remain closed to the public. For employees with health considerations (immune-compromised) or who are emotionally compromised; the employee and supervisor can discuss alternate accommodations, if possible.
