Update from Strategic Planning:

 

 

The Eel River Bar First Nation elected leadership and the Economic Development department agreed to enter into discussions with Squamish Huron Clean Energy Corporation & Great Northern Port by signing a memorandum of understanding to facilitate further discussions.

Chief and Council have decided to move forward with continued discussions around a potential partnership that would ensure future benefits that would promote growth, sustainability, and prosperity for Ugpi’ganjig and its membership.

Our priority will be to follow the duty to consult protocol and ensure that all community members have equal opportunity to be fully educated in the project and provide any input.

Above all, we want to ensure that this has a long-lasting positive impact for all community members
