Call for Applications – Eel River Bar First Nation Membership Committee

Eel River Bar First Nation is seeking six (6) Members to join the Membership Committee.

Role & Responsibilities:
The Membership Committee will work together, seek community input, and advise Council on the development of a new Membership Code.

The Membership Committee will also assist in the implementation of the Membership Code.

Membership Committee meetings will be held at least once every month throughout the development of the new Membership Code.

Eligibility:
You are eligible for a position on the Membership Committee if you are:

  • a Member of Eel River Bar First Nation; and
  • at least 16 years old.

We Encourage Youth & Elders to Apply
The Membership Committee has designated positions for at least one Youth (Member aged 16-30 years) and at least one Elder (65+years).

Deadline to apply: Friday, September 18, 2026 by 4:00pm

How to Apply:
Please submit an application to Shelley Coulombe containing the following information:

  • your name, age, and band number; and
  • a brief statement on why you would be a great addition to the Membership Committee, your availability for monthly meetings, and your availability to attend in-person meetings.

Please note this is a volunteer position and all Committee Members will be required to sign and abide by an oath of confidentiality. Preference will be given to those who are able to attend in-person meetings.
