Hello DRHS community. I hope everyone is still well as we continue with the state of emergency in NB. I have 2 announcements for you today.
- I placed some information on our school website pertaining to grade 11 and 12 courses being offered as a credit. Our teaching staff met on this and we determined a selected number of courses that students can obtain a credit for instead of the enrolled only designation. Either way, all grade 11 and 12 courses this semester will count towards high school graduation. The benefit for earning a credit is for post-secondary pre-requisite requirements. It will not affect course selection for the current grade 11 students for DRHS next year. Teachers will be making their students aware if their course is offered as a credit or not. If students choose the credit option, it means more work is required of them and the work must be submitted for the teacher to assess. If you have any questions on this topic, please contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Students at all grade levels are encouraged to engage in the home learning to continue academic growth.
- Grade 12 students are asked to check Mrs. Harquail’s guidance page on our school website for information about scholarships, student loans, and all other post-secondary related topics.
That’s all for now. Stay safe everyone.
