Renewal of SCIS Card or Registration for Status in Moncton

Message from Shelley Coulombe on the renewal of SCIS cards or registration for status in Moncton:

On behalf of the Atlantic regional office of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) in Amherst NS, I am pleased to inform First Nation Communities in NB that they are now booking appointments in Moncton for Renewal of SCIS Cards or Registration for Status.

This will be available only on Fridays by appointment only – walk-in/drop-in services are NOT available.

Appointments can be booked by calling the Amherst office at 902-661-6209.

The address for the ISC Moncton office is 33 Weldon Street, Suite 100 Moncton, NB E1C 5V9.

For the renewal of your SCIS card please be sure to bring original valid identification(s), with your name, DOB, signature and photo. Please ensure the ID is not expired, must be the actual ID – not a photo or copy of the ID.

For registration of status applications, the original, long form birth certificate is required along with ID.  The long form birth certificate has the parent(s) name(s) on it. If both parents are listed on the birth certificate, both parents must sign the registration application. The applying parent must bring valid government issued identification.

If you are not sure if the ID you have is acceptable, please feel free to call me at 506-684-6277 or the Amherst office at 902-661-6209.

The Amherst ISC regional office continues to provide services from Monday to Friday, for walk-ins and appointments.

***ISC Registration staff will only be in the Moncton office on Fridays for appointments that are booked in advance.

These services are still available at your Ugpi’Ganjig Office, but this is great news for our off-reserve members, students, etc.

Wela’lin,

Shelley Coulombe
