From: Child & Family Services

Response Measures: COVID-19

Dear Community Members and Staff;

As part of phase 1 of the Eel River Bar First Nation COVID-19 return to work policy, Child & Family Services will resume its regular operations at a reduced capacity as of June 1st, 2020. Our offices will be opened on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Phase 1 of this plan will be reassessed by the Chief and Council and Senior Staff members which may result in further changes to our hours of operations. The Eel River Bar First Nation COVID-19 return to work policy will strictly be implemented and monitored to assure that everyone’s safety and wellbeing are respected.

Essential Child Protection Services will continue to be available by contacting our on-call services at 987-9911. I would like to emphasize that the measures taken have been difficult for everyone but have played a key role in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in your community so far. I encourage everyone to continue to follow all recommendations from public health officials. Together we are making a difference.

Please do not hesitate to contact Child and Family Services with respect to any concerns you may have. Bonnie Martin and I will be at the office on May 19th, 2020, and May 26th, 2020 to process regular payments which will be mailed unless other arrangements are made.

I thank everyone for your patience and support during these difficult times.

Sincerely,

Schawn Boucher
